Your clickbooq site includes an integrated Blog feature. This built-in blogging platform allows you to quickly and easily create a blog and update posts within your clickbooq site, while offering an integrated look that matches the rest of your website.
Blog posting is an easy way to add your latest work and news, keeping your site fresh and relevant. Blog posts can be a combination of text, single images, galleries, and video – with the same flexible, customization options as Pages and Galleries.
Creating your Blog
To create your new clickbooq Blog, click the Blog section tab at the top of the Toolbox. Enter a name for your Blog in the Blog Title box – this is the name that will appear in your site’s Navigation Menu.
Creating Posts
To create a post, click the green + button. Enter a Title for your post. This will automatically create your Post URL, but you can also edit the URL. Optionally add tags to your post, separated by commas. Tags are useful for categorizing your posts and helping your visitors find related posts that might interest them.
The Blog Editor allows you to drag and drop different Blog Elements onto your post. You can add text, images, video, galleries, horizontal line breaks, contact forms, spacers, and HTML. Click the icon at the top of the Blog Editor and then drag the Blog Element to where you want it to appear. To add text, click and drag the text icon. To add an image, click and drag the image icon, etc.
For more information on using each of the Blog Elements, review the Page Elements overview: http://clickbooq.zendesk.com/entries/81798629-Page-Elements-An-Overview
Note: you can embed a Gallery from your Content section and override the Gallery Settings by clicking the gear icon next to the Gallery once it has been embedded on your post. The number of galleries you can embed in your posts is limited by the number of Galleries available in your plan. Individual images do not count towards your image usage allowance.
Note: Images uploaded using the Image Element are NOT resized during the Upload process. To ensure the fastest possible loading times for your images on Pages, resize them to an appropriate size before uploading them to a Page. A good rule of thumb is to upload an image at about 2x the size you intend for it to be displayed. This will provide adequate quality to allow for scaling as well as better image quality on high-resolution displays (ie Retina quality displays).
To save your post as a Draft, click the Save Changes button.
To Publish your post, click the Publish button.
To View your post on your site, click the View icon.
To Delete your post, click the Delete icon.
You can also share your post on your social networks directly from within the Toolbox, by clicking the Tweet or Share buttons.
Managing your posts
To view your posts, click All Posts in the left hand menu. This displays all your posts listed in order of Updated Date. Posts are marked as Draft or Published. You can view a post by clicking the View icon or delete a post by clicking the Delete icon. You can also view posts by tag by clicking the Tag title in the left hand menu. Tags help your visitors find related posts when viewing an article.
Sort Order
By Default, the order of posts in the Blog section are determined by Update Date (Newest first). You can also change the sort order to view by Creation Date (Newest First).
Changing the post Publish Date
When a post is Published, it will be marked with the current Publish date. To change the Publish Date, use the built-in Calendar tool to change the Publish Date.
On your website, Blog posts are always sorted starting from the most recent Publish Date. Changing the Publish Date will allow you to change the order of the posts.
Blog Settings
Within the Settings tab, you can change your Blog Title and Path, enable post comments and sharing, and choose a blog layout.
Blog Path
The Blog Path is the URL location of your blog on your domain, for example yourdomain.com/blog. The default and most common path is simply “/blog”. Some users may want to enter a custom path here. Do not use spaces or special characters; however, dashes are allowed.
Comments
By enabling on Comments, you can allow post comments powered by Disqus. See this article for more information on setting up blog commenting:
Sharing
You can also enable post sharing in settings. This allows visitors to tweet, share, or like your posts on Twitter and Facebook.
Blog Layout
For your blog layout, there are two options: Single Post or Listings. Single Post will display one blog post per page. The Listings layout displays a list of your published posts' Titles – you can set the number of posts you wish to appear per page.
