You can upload a custom Sitemap XML file (Lite and Pro plans only) that you can submit to Google, Bing, and other search engines to help them crawl your website more easily.
1. Create a Sitemap
To create a Sitemap, you can use an online Sitemap generator tool. Check out XML Sitemap Generator for a free tool: https://www.web-site-map.com/xml_sitemap.php
The file output should be in plain, un-compressed XML format, e.g 'sitemap.xml'
Note: When using a generator, be sure to enter your full domain name including the 'www', e.g. 'www.your-domain.com'. This represents the full and correct version of your URL within the clickbooq system.
2. Preparing your sitemap file
Once you have created and downloaded your sitemap in XML format, be sure to name the file sitemap.xml
3. Uploading your Sitemap
Log into the Toolbox, then click the Settings tab.
Enable the Sitemap feature:
Click Choose File to upload your sitemap.xml file
Once uploaded, the resulting sitemap will be located at your-domain.com/sitemap.xml
You can now submit your sitemap location to your preferred search engines through your respective Webmaster accounts.
*For most users, the 500-page limit will not be an issue. One thing to keep in mind is that all of the images in your portfolios are converted into a Page (and counted as such) through the use of our SEO Image Page feature. A website with many portfolio images may exceed the 500-page limit of the free generators. You can disable the SEO Image Page feature to prevent the creation of these additional pages, but we believe the benefits of the SEO Image Page feature outweigh the benefits of adding a sitemap.
